Despite the market-wide greens, ZEC ripping 50%+ over the last 7 days, and HYPE hitting an all-time high, opinions are still pretty split on where all of this is headed.
The general consensus seems to tilt towards picking the most obvious trades and sitting on them rather than getting blown out by leverage.
I agree because last week’s $4.6 billion short squeeze made the rally look unstoppable, and then the first real pullback started tagging the newly crowded longs.
A lot of the same accounts that were calling for $100k BTC last Thursday are now gradually reducing size and waiting for the next clean level.
Fear & Greed jumped from extreme fear to 80 in under two weeks, which is usually when the market starts looking for an excuse to shake people out.
It might be a bit more sensible to go with the consensus and stick to the most obvious trades: ETH, HYPE, VVV, ZEC, SOL, and PUMP.
Spot holding might just be back.

Last week was a pivot to crypto; this week, stocks stole the show.
Onchain, PURRDAT, the ticker that tracks PURR by Hyperliquid Strategies, led the pack, up ~65% on the week.
Robinhood’s stock HOOD, also did well this week, up ~17%, with the Robinhood trenches continuing to print new memecoin millionaires weeks after launch.
Every asset will soon be tradable onchain. 100+ already are: stocks, commodities, forex, indices, pre-IPO. The problem is knowing where to get exposure.
We’ve started keeping track of it all on onchainmarkets.fun, the aggregator for onchain traditional asset perps. Go check it out!

A look at some of the major headlines in our favorite sectors:
AI (Robotics, ML, Automation, etc):
OpenAI boss, Sam Altman admits he doesn’t use his own product, Codex properly.
Tech enthusiast and creator, Marques Brownlee calls Beni Camera Robot - “the coolest thing that showed up” in his inbox.
Runable raises $21 million to build an AI agent platform that can launch and operate a small business.
Arga raises $10 million to build digital twins of enterprise software like Salesforce and Workday, giving AI agents realistic environments to train and fail in before being unleashed on actual businesses.
The “robot brain” market is getting crowded and expensive. Generalist, Physical Intelligence, Skild AI, and Genesis AI are all racing to build general-purpose models for robots, with valuations already reaching into the multi-billion-dollar range.
Sam Altman teases OpenAI chips in a new tweet. He says, “We made a chip and it is fast.”
Bill Gates warns AI will cause a turbulent job crisis; issues a 5784-word warning on issues pertaining to AI advancement.
Blockchain & Crypto:
CFTC says it already has a framework ready if Congress fails to pass the CLARITY Act, while the SEC is separately pushing new exemptions for crypto fundraising.
Sports on Hyperliquid? TradeXYZ rumored to be building sportsbook, as it onchain sleuths monitor HYPE sent by 0x6e41.
New ATH for HYPE, Hyperliquid activates AQAv2 to Buy Back and Burn HYPE.
Israel’s largest bank is working with Galaxy to offer customers trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
USDC issuance is picking up again. Circle mints $250 million USDC on Solana, taking weekly issuance on the network above $1.25 billion.
fomo records $100 million volume on Hyperliquid Perps, a new all-time high.
Chinese hackers reportedly break into US federal reserves.
Okay, be real with yourself for a second. How many tabs do you have open right now trying to figure out if you should buy or sell? How many Discord chats you’re scrolling for ‘alpha’ that’s just someome else’s guess dressed up nicer?
TrueNorth puts all of that in one place. Research, execution, tracking, all in one interface. It’s got agents that do most of the heavy-lifting, leaving just the execution part in your hands. And now, you can do that directly from Telegram whenever you’re ready.

First up, X is getting a little more serious about becoming the everything app.
The platform is reportedly preparing to add buy and sell buttons directly to stock and crypto tickers, meaning you could theoretically see an asset, get irrationally excited about it, and lose money without ever leaving X.
Which, frankly, feels like the logical conclusion of financial Twitter.
Somehow, this feels like a good thing, but it also does resemble a death sentence for trading apps.
Regardless, the real winner once this update comes alive would be whatever infra is being used underneath.
Speaking of people who want to control the entire stack…
Sam Altman says OpenAI has made its own chip and, in his words, “it is fast.”
That is pretty much the extent of the technical disclosure so far, but considering how much of the AI industry is currently held hostage by Nvidia’s GPUs, even the suggestion that OpenAI could start building its own chips is a pretty big deal.
The company has been increasingly interested in owning more of the infrastructure underneath its models, and custom chips could eventually mean lower costs, more control, and less dependence on the same handful of companies everyone else is buying from.
And finally, the Americans are coming for the Premier League.
The 2026-27 season is expected to see even more American eyes on English football, with the league’s global commercial machine continuing to expand its reach across the Atlantic.

Americans have already spent the last few weeks to a month of the World Cup discovering that football (not soccer) is actually quite fun.
We’re probably three seasons away from someone explaining xG to a room full of NFL executives and everyone nodding like they understand it.

Lots of exciting stuff caught our attention this week, but the standouts are:
LayerZero launched ATLAS (Aggregated Trading Liquidity and Settlement). ATLAS is a universal backend built to power global markets.
Also, TrueNorth became one of the first builders on LayerZero’s ATLAS.
Kintsu is expanding into confidential credit and digital capital markets on the Canton Network.

There comes a point in all our lives when we realize that our wallets are basically several badly managed bank accounts.
Money comes in, money goes out, and somehow there’s always a random $47 sitting somewhere doing absolutely nothing.
So I’m thinking, why not automate the leftovers?
Scan the active trading wallets, find the excess USDC, sweep it into Plasma One, and let it pay for subscriptions.

Throwing it back to this funny toon by Bold Leonidas.
Really, someone please tell Frank DeGods that he is ruining the trench experience for his copy traders on fomo.

It’s been a few days since the market erupted and probably left a few people on the sidelines.
If you’re one of those who have been disturbed by the massive PnLs and size cards on the timeline from either fomo or pump enthusiasts, we’ve got a bit of advice.
Don’t fomo - good pun? Yes! But we’re serious. You’re better off playing the long game than throwing your chips into an active volcano.
If you must take a dip in the trenches, do that with a tiny, really tiny fragment of your portfolio that won’t hurt if you lose it all.
If you say no and do lose it all, we’ll still be here for you, with all the goodies and info that can potentially pick you up from the dust.
Same time, same day, see ya next week chads!
Cheers,
