🤑 BTC Makes History! Here's How We Prepare For Q3:

PLUS a new AI project breakdown you don't wanna miss!

GM, it’s on like Donkey Kong.

The market is shrugging off the key pivot levels we flagged over the last two sessions like it’s nothing.

BTC just printed the highest daily candle close in history, TOTAL2 is keeping steady above 1.17t, and USDT's dominance is failing to provide any reasonable bounce. Bullish until proven otherwise. Oh, and DXY is tanking.

The only thing we need right now is for Bitcoin dominance to chill for a bit. As long as it’s pumping alongside BTC, alts will keep lagging. Nevertheless, the window of opportunity always comes, sooner or later.

With Tether printing a chunky $2b worth of USDT, it seems like any upcoming pullbacks will be shallow, if any.

Moreover, check out this hedge fund positioning. The suits are currently the most net short since the start of 2021, and we all know what happened after that. Will they be correct? Well, I wouldn’t think so since they went giga long just before the last bear market started.

Looking ahead, remember global liquidity has been dipping for a few weeks. Because crypto lags that metric by about three months, a Q2 downturn could translate into a softer, sideways/down Q3.

In other words, this means we’re still surfing the Q1 global liquidity wave, and good times should last roughly until the end of June. By then, it’s worth being more cautious and preparing your portfolio for a sleepy summer, riding steady into Q4. More on this later.

BTCUSDT 1H Binance - Funding & OI

Not much to add here - it’s highly likely that Bitcoin will go to new highs in the coming days. Just be careful, as illustrated above. If you’re longing perps, the market is looking to get rid of you before price discovery. This was particularly evident (and predictable) into the weekly close and futures open on Sunday.

Highly leveraged open interest is not welcome on the new highs train that is about to depart. As soon as funding creeps up, we get a flush, and it comes down again, which is when you want to long, if at all. I’m still holding mostly BTC spot, and a few alt plays that I expect to do well post-BTC breakout.

Come by the Lucky Luke Discord channel for comments, to roast my picks or to pump your own bags. All banter is welcome any time!

Today, Solana smart money flows seem to favour new flavour coins such as XBT and Moonpig.

Ethereum smart money flows are going for quality tody, mainly Virtual and KTA.

Prime Intellect Launch PCCL

Decentralised compute aggregators, Prime Intellect have a new algorithm to further their goals of decentralising and democratising AI training runs across the public internet. This is how we avoid a corporate AI-dominated Skynet dystopia.

PCCL, or Prime Collective Communications Library, is a low-level communication protocol for decentralised training. At its core, it is designed for fault tolerance, which is exactly what you need when you’re running training through thousands of peer nodes, distributed all over the globe. PCCL is said to have hit 45 Gbit/s of bandwidth across datacenters in Europe and 25 GBit/s across both North America and Europe.

Check out their recent thread for the full rundown on PCCL.

Prime Intellect is backed by Founders Fund and angel investor chads like Balaji Srinivasan, Erik Voorhees, and ex-Tesla AI lead Andrej Karpathy. There’s no token as yet, but we’ll let you know when one is on the horizon or a farming opportunity arises.

Nous Research Hackathon

We are big fans of Nous Research here in AI Corner, and they have been running a hackathon since early May. The winners are due to be announced sometime today—keep an eye on their Twitter for details. So far, we know that Sly Racoon took third place. They’ve linked up a demo of an interesting little reinforcement learning game they put together.

To save you doom scrolling.

Pretty realistic!

The Genius Act is being moved forward! We wrote about this one yesterday, if you need more info. More importantly, if this one fully succeeds, I can see a massive repricing of things like ETH, ENA, AAVE, or CRV/CVX.

I’m on the watch.

stay safe homies,
