So, while the TradFi markets continue to chug along to new all-time highs, crypto remains in hibernation mode. No surprise TardFi participants are feeling less and less fear by now.
I would expect this crypto chop to continue for a bit, but it`s only a matter of time until we start catching up to rising global liquidity again. When it comes to the promised Santa Rally, I wouldn’t get too excited just yet, especially looking at the odds here.
Once again, if things go well, I would expect a period of ETH/BTC outperformance; the inflows here appear to be improving.
Nevertheless, for the long-term buyers, this seems like a viable zone to do a lil DCA. Simply stack the sats of short-term holders sitting in the deepest loss zones of 2025, as seen on this chart.
One of the more positive pieces of news released today is that DTCC has received a no-action letter from the SEC regarding the tokenization of DTC-custodied access. In other words, the world is coming on a chain, and it won’t stop anytime soon.
Lastly, for the trenchers, keep it light. The memecoin volumes (chart here) are in an absolute gutter, and I wouldn't expect them to improve until BTC and ETH march significantly higher.
There`s also a lot of alpha coming out of the Breakpoint event currently, so keep a close look at the summaries from Gum here. And on blocmates, of course.
So, summarize the outlook, I think we have a solid chance of a continued run during 2026. At the same time, there's a chance that the run turns sour suddenly, just when everyone thinks a supercycle becomes a real thing.
